At this point I'm all out of ideas as to what could be the cause and I would greatly appreciate any advice as I have found nothing anywhere online.īelow is the bug report mentioned and thank you for your time.ĭate/time :, 05:23:55, 616ms I've checked and the Skyrim ini file is in that location and not read only, either. The error log in the TES5Edit Folder is as follows: I never ran into this problem on my old PC, which like this one is Windows 7 Professional. exe, and I have taken ownership of all files. I have tried running everything as an Administrator, including TES5Edit from within the settings and even run outside of Mod Organizer through the. If I hit "OK" I am just sent back to try again to only receive the same message or if I hit "Details" I get a bug report and can only close the application without saving. The system cannot find the path specified. I launch TES5Edit through Mod Organizer, select "none," then just Update.esm, apply filter for cleaning, remove identical masters, undelete and disable references but every single time I run into a dialog box with the following error:Ĭannot create file "C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Skyrim\Plugins.tes5viewsettings". My Skyrim folder is located "I:\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Steamapps\Skyrim" along with one for Mod Organizer and TES5Edit.

Hello, I began following the STEP procedures for Skyrim on my new PC and I am at the point to clean the Update.esm. and funnily enough the actual uploaders of The Journey aren't much interested in support either. You won't find help on Nexus for it either. If you're just going to use things like The Journey and refuse the advice on offer, don't bother posting. If you're actually willing to mod sensibly - then you'll find the help you need here - from the much more polite people whom have already posted above. in which case its settings files etc will be regenerated. it cannot just reinstall itself unless you failed to remove the core folder. Removing SweetFX is easy as pie - just delete the related files and SweetFX folder from the Skyrim one. Unless of course - the rest of your setup is not actually stable. Unless you're barely scraping vanilla Skyrim's minimal requirements it should result in no more than 5-10fps lost.

This is theft - if you don't care - then you're just as guilty of it as well.Īccording to the "author" they've been edited to "play nice together" - a highly dubious claim considering some of the actual mod authors have themselves stepped away from broken mods that are included in the collection.Īs for SweetFX - its performance hit is negligible on a stable setup.

The Journey consists of content taken, edited and reuploaded elsewhere without permission. Originally posted by squeezelan:everything works fine I know people redistribute mods I don't care.
